Our Difference

We are an independent Pre-school run by a Parent-led committee of management.

We provide sessional preschool as opposed to long daycare.

Programs

We provide 3 and 4 year old play based educational sessions.

Our programming incorporates children’s interests, seasonal, community
(both local and broad) and world interests and events.

About Us

Alchester Village Pre-School is a community sessional run kindergarten in Boronia, outer eastern Melbourne, established in 1967 and is well known for its dedicated and passionate staff, programs and great location.

Our philosophy is based on using play as a learning tool. Through play, our children learn about problem solving, using their imagination, respect and social standards, all while having fun and making new friends in our caring supportive environment.
Our program is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
(VEYLDF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
We are proud to be rated as MEETING the National standards.

Our kindergarten provides a varied learning environment for 3 and 4 years olds. We currently offer a 4 year old group, a 3 year old group and a long-day 4 year old and 3 year old group. Our dedicated and committed Educators offer their diverse experience and a positive, nurturing approach to running our programs and teaching the children. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all, attending to all children’s needs allowing them to be heard, be respected and be an integral part of the decision making process.

Our Pre-School.
Our Family.
Our Community.

As you can see from the photos here, the kindergarten environment is amazing with numerous mature trees providing a naturally cool, shaded yard in summer, allowing the children to experience the four seasons as the trees lose their leaves in Autumn and re-grow in Spring. There is also a great area out the front where families can socialise and get to know each other. Our great location has a playgroup next door and school over the back fence.

Kindergarten is a very exciting time for the children and their families and we aim for all to have very happy memories of their time at Alchester Village.
